Welcome to my website

We continue to live the quiet country lifestyle in Oxford North Canterbury . Ross commuting into work in Christchurch city and in between times an active member of the Oxford volunteer fire brigade while I continue my writing; columns for Australian Women’s Weekly and cookbooks of course.

I’m passionate about the work of hospice and really enjoy my role as Patron and ambassador. Although this is in a voluntary position I seem to have hospice events to attend most weeks and all my cooking classes these days are in role of fundraising for this amazing organisation.

I also love my annual journeys to foreign places taking culinary interest tours. This year to our beloved Umbria in Italy and to Morocco again in October but also this year an exciting new adventure to a place I’ve always wanted to visit and that’s Iceland. We’ll be including three days there along with a Baltic cruise visiting Scandinavia . St Petersburg in Russia and Tallinn in Estonia (with a little side trip to Scotland) and the beautiful isle of Skye. There are just a few places left on this so contact my travel partner Pam Young at House of Travel for all the details. I successfully launched my new cookbook just before Christmas and loved meeting so many old and lots of new friends at the many book launching events around the country. I’m glad the book seem to really hit the mark with readers keen to celebrate family occasions, weddings and significant birthdays etc at home in a special but not busting the budget style. The book is full of clever ideas and of course amazing recipes for home grown entertaining and celebrations. Contact Pam for all the timings and costs etc for my travel adventures this year ...

I’d love you to join us on our personal small group tours.

Happy cooking everyone and fondest best wishes
